Show it off here! I'm looking into building one for myself out of PVC (because broke) and I need some inspiration. Which ones do you recommend? Or if you guys have built your own, do you have plans for it?

have an overpriced setup, it's a Logitech G27, with a stand made by a company who's name I can't remember. I'll post a picture when I get a chanceI

Man, that seat almost looks like a Vader. But that would be crazy and I'd be jealous and have to kill you and take it. So good thing it isn't.

They are from a pre facelift E46.

This is my setup. I found it complete on Craigslist. I paid $300 for everything.

Ah, that makes sense. I couldn't figure out where they came from.

The other side so you can see the inverted pedals. It's a fanatec csr wheel with g27 pedals and a fanatec 6 spd h pattern shifter

Here's the one I made out of wood for my Fanetec. Its been absolutely amazing. However, now its the only reason I don't want an XBone. WHY WON'T YOU MAKE IT WORK MICROSOFT!!! Anyway, its an MDF base with arms that pivot at those screws at the bottom and another permanent set you can't see here. The folding arms make it height adjustable and more rigid at the taller height. It actually folds up well and fits in small closets standing on the back base or under a bed very easily. Plus the shifter mount holds my phone perfectly! Total cost ($44): wood ($35), black paint ($4), hardware ($5). Some assembly and fabrication required

I like the inverted pedals! I've been thinking I'd do the same thing, but I think I would loose my ability to fold and store mine.

I love it. Gives a more realistic feel. I'm thinking of selling the seat and getting a more "race seat". I have a lot of buddies come over to use it so I'm thinking of adding a little more to it to make it feel more like a arcade/real race car. Like I have drawn up a complete PVC pipe roll cage and mounts for a window net just for fun and adding a harness.

Oh to be a bachelor again... haha I wish I could remake mine to work with a seat I could go out and find. But mine is made to work with my office chair. The best thing you can do to make it feel realistic is sound. All your focus goes into the screen when you play these things, so the only other senses that get any priority is sound. I'd focus on some good earphones and/or some surround speakers you could adjust to focus on the seat. You could use a cheap computer 5.1 in-box system like logitechs, and get plenty of performance. (next best thing for the same money as a good set of earphones, that way you could still communicate with friends) That would go much further per dollar than a different seat. Also, you could wrap the seat with a cloth material to make it feel like you're in a stickier race seat. Sorry I'm rambling

I got lucky and scored a Playseat GT5 with a G27 for $150 off of Craigslist, hardly used. I love it!
